MOSTAR (FENA) - Director of Nansen Dialogue Network from Norway, Mr. Steinar Bryn visited Nansen Dialogue Centre Mostar today. There he talked about the need for reconciliation, understanding and dialogue among the BIH citizens. “In order BIH to function as a state, Croats, Bosniaks and Serbs need to develop mutual understanding and in that process dialogue is a wonderful tool” - said Mr. Bryn.

Talking about his experience in ex Yugoslavia, Mr. Bryn emphasised how people think that their truth is the only truth, but that the only way to understand the break-up of Yugoslavia and the beginning of the war is to hear all different stories. “Propaganda is not a lie, propaganda is one sided story. That doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone has similar responsibility and the blame, but to understand the reality one needs to listen all stories and put all pieces of puzzle together. For example, Albanians in South Mitrovica do not have a complete picture. Serbs in North Mitrovica do not have complete picture, but by meeting ones another, they can increase their mutual understanding” - emphasised Mr. Bryn.
