Fridtjof Nansen

Nansen became famous during 1889 and 1890 due to his Arctic explorations that he wrote about in his books. In 1905, when Norway dissolved her uneasy union with Sweden Nansen played a very important role and he became the first Norwegian ambassador in Great Britain.
